President-Elect

Adrienna Edwards, C’97

Adrienna graduated from Spelman College in 1997 with a degree in Economics and a minor in Business Management and Organization. Following her matriculation from Spelman she obtained her MBA in Entrepreneurship. Adrienna is a Product Strategist and Enterprise Consultant who has achieved increasing levels of responsibility over the course of a 23-year career focused on developing highly effective solutions to business challenges. Issue resolution has become her core strength, whether it is innovatively building new products to address customer needs and strengthen a competitive advantage, developing processes to map investments to financial benefits, or reengineering internal processes to more efficiently service customers. She leverages her experience to positively impact the chapter.

Adrienna takes her role as a Board Member seriously by raising funds for CodeInspire, a non-profit organization that teaches young black girls robotics and coding.  She is also the President of her Condo Board Association where she partners with a property management company and other board members to manage a multimillion-dollar budget and oversee more than 20 employees.

Since her return to Chicago in 2015, she has provided support and been steadily engaged with the Chicago Chapter of the NAASC. She has served on the Executive Committee since 2016 and consistently volunteers on the Founders’ Day and ACBE Committees in whatever capacity is needed.  Adrienna was co-chair of ACBE in 2018 and served as Financial Secretary from 2016-2022. During her time in office as Financial Secretary, she increased accountability by ensuring all financial documents were electronically available to the Executive Board. She used her organizational and product development skills to restructure documents to more accurately capture membership payments.

As President-Elect she is partnering with the President to drive membership and further support for current Spelman students from the Chicagoland area.
