Devin Carter, C’2002

Devin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Management. She has 20+ years of experience in Diversity and Talent Management across the professional services industry and Fortune 500 companies. She is currently the Director of Inclusion and Diversity at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP), an international law firm with 30 offices and over 1,400 lawyers across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Before joining BCLP, Devin was the Diversity & Inclusion Lead at AlixPartners, a global consulting firm, leading several initiatives for the Americas. Before AlixPartners, she spent 17 years in hybrid talent management roles at global companies such as Baker McKenzie Law Firm, consulting firms McKinsey & Co and ZS Associates, and the Fortune 500 insurance company Allstate Insurance. Additionally, she has worked in recruiting and diversity roles at McKinsey, ZS Associates, and Allstate Insurance.

She served as the class agent for the 2002 20th-year and 25th-year reunions. As an active member of the National Alumnae Association of Spelman College (NAASC), she has co-led the SpelHouse Events Committee since 2024. Under her leadership, the committee has hosted a consistent schedule of events supporting Black-owned establishments across Chicago. Devin also led the Chapter’s member engagement survey, which helped further tailor chapter communications and activities to our sisters’ needs. In support of our mission, Devin co-led the Sacred Heart Fundraiser, which raised $1,233 to help fund chapter scholarships and future fundraising events, such as A Crystal Blue Evening. She is the 2026 NAASC Chicago Spirit Award recipient. Devin is honored to serve as treasurer for the 2026 - 2028 term.
