Ariel Dotts, PhD, C’2014

Ariel Dotts, PhD received her B.S. in biology from Spelman College in 2014. In 2016 she received her Masters in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.

Upon moving to Chicago in the summer of 2016, she immediately began serving within the Chicago Chapter of the NAASC. She has served as Founders Day Co-Chair (2017-2020), Honors Luncheon Co-Chair and Chair (2016-2019), A Crystal Blue Evening Planning Committee Member (2016, 2018, 2020, 2021-2022), Chairperson of Recruitment and College Fair Engagement Committee (2016 – 2020), Corresponding Secretary (2018-2020), and Treasurer (2020-present). Ariel finished her PhD in biological sciences in 2022 all while volunteering for the NAASC as Nominations Chair (2019-current) and her various roles within the Chicago Chapter.

Ariel’s organizational skills and keen eye to detail have been an asset to maintaining the Chapter budget, financial records, and reports.
